AIM has a unique way of caring for India’s neediest children. Unlike other agencies who place many children in large institutions, AIM places children in small Grace Children’s Homes (GCH) and Grace Children’s Centers (GCC). In a Grace Children’s Home (GCH), a sponsored child lives with a pastor’s family. In addition to having their physical needs provided for, the child is raised in a Christian environment and is taught the word of God. When a child is sponsored through a Grace Children Center (GCC), the child continues to live with their own family. One of our AIM pastors is assigned to the child as their caregiver. Each week they visit with the family and provide the mother with the money, vitamin supplements, school uniforms, and other supplies required to properly care for the child. The pastors also verify that the child is actively enrolled in school and gives the child additional tutoring if needed. In some cases, this provides an opportunity for the pastor to share the gospel with the child's family.
