AIM's Integrity Standards
AIM takes integrity seriously. We are accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), a respected accreditor that partners with Christ-centered organizations to uphold strong board governance, sound financial management, and responsible stewardship. ECFA accreditation isn’t a marketing badge, it’s an ongoing accountability relationship that organizations must continually meet to maintain.
What does that mean for you as a donor? ECFA’s Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship set a high, pass-fail bar. They cover independent board oversight, audited financial statements and fiscal controls, the appropriate use of resources and compliance with laws, transparent communication, compensation and conflict-of-interest safeguards, and the ethical stewardship of charitable gifts. These standards are clear and rigorous; there’s no “grading on a curve.”
In practice, those standards protect your gift all the way from donation to impact. They require truthfulness in fundraising, honoring donor intent, and communicating accurately about programs and results. They also emphasize policies that prevent self-dealing and ensure that every major financial decision is reviewed by a responsible, independent board. The result is a built-in framework that prioritizes prudence, transparency, and mission effectiveness.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, AIM ensures that every gift is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. While every effort will be made to apply your gift according to your indicated preference, AIM maintains complete discretion and control over the use of donated funds to best serve our mission. If funds exceed the specific need of a project, or if unforeseen circumstances prevent its completion, they will be applied to similar purposes or other outreaches of AIM. Up to 10 percent of each gift may be used for promotion, donor development, and administration.
Financial statements are available upon request. And because AIM is a member of ECFA, you can trust that your support is managed with transparency, accountability, and the highest standards of responsible stewardship. So, you can give with confidence.
