What is Child Sponsorship?
Giving Children Hope (GCH) is a ministry outreach of AIM dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering local churches to care for vulnerable children. GCH provides holistic support, including education, food, and spiritual mentorship to children, in partnership with local churches.
GCH was founded on the understanding that children play a significant role in God’s plan to reach the lost. In many persecuted regions where sharing Christ is difficult, GCH enables the local church to serve as a vital resource in their communities. By meeting practical needs, the church demonstrates the love of Christ, softening hearts to the Gospel and expanding its influence.
Our mission is threefold:
- Reaching the Next Generation with the Gospel – Teaching and training children with the Gospel in the hope they will follow Jesus and be raised up as future vessels for Christ.
- Empowering Church Outreach and Leaders – Strengthening the local church by equipping children to be active participants in the body of Christ.
- Breaking the Cycle of Poverty – Providing education, food, and medical care so that children can grow into self-sufficient, faith-driven leaders who will one day sustain their own families and communities.
As Mama Grace once said, "We need to write Jesus’ name on their hearts before the millions of Hindu gods do."
When you sponsor a child, the child receives:
- School fees, supplies, uniforms, and backpacks
- Hygiene items and an education in hygiene
- Nutritional groceries and snacks
- Winter blankets and household items as needed
- After school tutoring
- Encouragement and spiritual education from their caregivers
