Ong’s (his nickname) parents both left him with his grandmom (since he was 3 months old) to work in Bangkok (city) to support their family. Ong’s aunt is the head of the family who takes care of and sends the grandkids to study. Ong’s mom sends pocket money to Ong sometimes but it is not enough to live. Ong is a child from his mom’s 2nd marriage. Ong's dad has since died. His grandmom hopes sponsorship keeps him in school so he can grow to take care of himself. Grandma collects trash and sells it to make something for her family. Ong likes to play football and help grandma wash dishes. He is cheerful and talkative. He wants to be a policemen when he grows up to earn and buy things to take care of his grandmom. He gets sick easily which might be a result of his mom having him when she was 40 yrs. old.
